  • A Mac with Apple silicon
  • macOS 15 or later
  • An administrator account
  • One display for now: Sunlight runs on the main one

Demo mode

Try it as it comes. Allow Accessibility and Screen Recording and the canvas opens, with your windows on it as live pictures. Nothing about your Mac's security changes.

Live windows

The real thing: your actual windows, scaled smoothly by a small add-on in the Dock. macOS only allows that with part of System Integrity Protection turned off. The setup wizard walks you through it, Recovery restart included, and Uninstall puts it all back.
